Thyago Mumu is a filmmaker and audiovisual producer with a degree in Film from UFBA. His work addresses themes connected to Afro-Brazilian ancestry, popular culture, and Black identity. As a screenwriter, he is noted for Orun Ayie (2015). He has directed and co-directed films such as Isolado dos Homens, Mais Perto de Deus (2020), Não Estamos Sós (2024), Nasce uma Supernova na Galáxia Bailarina (2025), and Boca de Tudo (2025). As an editor, he has worked on projects such as Pela Preta Justiça Branca (2020), Kinenga (2022), and Enegrecer de Iemanjá (2025). He is also the creator of CINEKOMBICLUBE, an itinerant project dedicated to the dissemination of audiovisual media and the empowerment of Black and community narratives.
