I am Sofía Melindi, a 23-year-old Italian filmmaker. I grew up near Rome and moved to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, at the age of 14, where encountering a different culture transformed my perspective and sensitivity. I also grew up deeply connected to my Cuban roots, which have significantly influenced my artistic understanding. I have always been interested in music, dance, and visuals, finding in cinema a way to unite them all. I studied film in Madrid, where I directed this short film. I am interested in telling stories from an intimate and sensory approach, exploring emotions, identity, and the beauty of everyday life.
