Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences from UNAM (Mexico City), Jorge Malpica Hernández is an experienced director and cinematographer. In 1991, he demonstrated his technical and narrative vision as the DOP and editor for the TV documentary Beat Angels (TV-UNAM). Filmed across San Francisco, Denver, Kansas City, and New York, the project features in-depth interviews with prominent Beat Generation figures including William S. Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg, Philip Lamantia, Michael McClure, and Lawrence Ferlinghetti.
