Ari Lamadrid

Director, producer, and editor, with a strong interest in fantastic genre cinema and intimate storytelling. She has been part of the production and directing teams of multiple short films selected at national and international film festivals. She served as executive producer of the queer horror short film Tan Incontrolable Hermosura, a recipient of the FDC Relatos Regionales fund, currently in post-production. She is the director of the short film Los Huyentes and a winner of the 4th Fantastic Genre Short Film Lab (2023). She is currently a member of El Sofoco Cine and is the director and screenwriter of the short film Arpías, selected for the BIFF 2025 Short Film Screenwriting Workshop.
