Andres Mosquera

Director, screenwriter, and editor from Chocó, founder of the artistic collective Akendra. He is interested in telling personal stories that convey a deep emotional charge. His work is distinguished by its ability to capture and express human experiences and uncertainties with authenticity. In parallel, he carries out artistic training processes and is also interested in painting and visual artistic expression. His undergraduate thesis Pimpi (2023) has received multiple awards and recognitions at national and international levels. His most recent short film, Palo Alto (2024), narrated in a Colombian native language such as Palenquero, continues to tour various festivals and Afro-centered spaces. He is currently producing a short film titled Disskate and is also developing two fiction short films, La Recua and Piedra Honda.
